aw man, i don't live in edinburgh but i am there fairly often and this got me right in the heart. you know exactly how to write about the beauty of a city i love so much, and i can totally relate to that feeling of falling in love with it time after time - even just the view of arthur's seat from my house across the water gets me awestruck every now and then. next time i'm in the city, i'll be looking out for those little moments of love ❤️
don’t know how i missed this comment for this long, but hello! thank you so much for reading and for saying that! to do justice to this city in words feels like a near impossible feat so i really appreciate your kind words<3
I moved away from Edinburgh around 8 months ago and miss it dearly. It was my greatest source of inspiration, and so it’s lovely to read how it inspires you too! I spent many a bus journey pondering about life there🌱✨
if/when i move away, i fear it will always be a hole in my heart! a very special place indeed! so glad you enjoyed reading this, thank you for the kind words<3
having witnessed the sunny days last week in edinburgh because i live here as well, i loved reading your perspective! i was in the Meadows people watching and writing things down in my notebook and some of our sentences are almost the same. astounding how we’re different but similar all at once! love the post love the blossoming trees ! i tend to avoid princes street but i am in awe whenever i see the castle + fountain combination.
aaah that’s so lovely! meadows are PRIME people watching territory for sure. thank you so much for reading, so glad you enjoyed<3 enjoy the blossoms!!!:)
